Privacy Policy
The short version: Stack doesn't collect your data. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone.
What stays on your phone
Players, courses, rounds, scores, and settings are stored only on your device. We don't have servers, accounts, or a copy of anything you enter.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-in
- No ads
- No analytics or tracking
- No selling or sharing of data, because we don't have any
Camera and photos
If you scan a scorecard, the photo is read on your iPhone to fill in pars and handicaps. It isn't uploaded or saved by Stack.
Contacts and phone numbers
You can add a player's mobile number by typing it or choosing it from your Contacts. Stack only sees the one number you pick (it never reads your whole address book), and the number stays on your iPhone. It's used only to fill in the recipients when you tap "Text the group." You review and send the text yourself in Messages.
When you share
Sharing only happens when you tap Share. Results images, text, and round links go wherever you send them (Messages, email, and so on). A round link contains that round's player names, scores, and results, so anyone you send it to can see that information. When a friend opens a link, the round data is read by their Stack app and is not stored on our website.
Backups
If you use iCloud Backup, Apple includes Stack's data in your phone's backup. That's handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, and we can't access it.
Crash reports
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. They don't identify you.
Children
Stack isn't directed at children under 13.
Deleting your data
Delete the app, and your data is gone from the device.
Changes
If this ever changes (for example, if we add accounts or online features), we'll update this page and the app before it happens.
